This year I had the pleasure of participating in Piano Bridges after hearing much about it over the past few years. I must congratulate the team for putting together a well-organized event despite the circumstances. For many of us piano-lovers who never went down the professional path for various reasons, active study and/or performance remain an important part of our lives. Over the past two years, music became an even more important relief for our daily stresses — and the event even more important. Instead of feeling cut off due to lack of live performances, participants were able to share music, make friends and learn to improve our playing — thanks to the supportive jury. I couldn't have asked for more. I look forward to participation in the future — online and perhaps one day in St. Petersburg!

Thank you very much for conducting this wonderful competition this year. Although I enjoyed the time in St. Petersburg in 2016, the online format is much easier for managing my health condition.

I'm sure you are planning to go back to in-person competitions after the Pandemic, if you can also keep the online competition in some way, it will be great. I enjoyed listening to all the contestants everyday.

I am delighted to have been able to participate in PianoBridges again this year. I was delighted to be able to share my composition with as many people as possible thanks to this great initiative of this competition.

It was really an excellent idea!

I think it would be a good idea to merge the 2 categories 1 and 2, as there are just as many good pianists, whatever the category. And the diplomas obtained, which can be very different in different places, don't always mean anything. We are all amateurs. Most amateur competitions do not refer to diplomas.

Я частый участник различных конкурсов, и со всей уверенностью могу сказать, что «Фортепианные мосты»-это конкурс, в котором хочется продолжать участвовать из года в год. Для меня решающим фактором при выборе конкурса является возможность получить отзывы от профессионального жюри. Но довольно часто вместо ожидаемых развернутых комментариев получаешь всего пару общих фраз, причем еще и не от всех заявленных членов жюри. А ведь именно ценные советы профессионалов и вовремя подмеченные недоработки помогают расти дальше и развиваться в верном направлении. Поэтому от всей души хочется поблагодарить уважаемое жюри «Фортепианных мостов» за их честный кропотливый труд и внимательное отношение к каждому участнику конкурса!

E' stata per me una meravigliosa sorpresa scoprire il concorso per pianisti amatori Piano Bridges! Nonostante l'emergenza covid-19 è stato fantastico che gli organizzatori siano riusciti in un modo così esemplare a realizzare un progetto così ambizioso, che ha riunito tantissimi pianisti amatori da tutto il mondo, nel segno del grande amore per la Musica ed il pianoforte! Piano Bridges mi ha dato la possibilità di confrontarmi con tanti eccellenti musicisti, consentendomi in questo modo di avere un nuovo incentivo per migliorarmi. Molti di questi pianisti sono di un livello tale che non sfigurerebbero affatto, a mio parere, vicino a pianisti cosiddetti "professionisti". Infine grazie alla giuria di insigni musicisti!

Дорогие творцы замечательного праздника «Фортепианные мосты», Выражаю вам свою искреннюю благодарность за возможность принять участие в этом потрясающем конкурсе, который был организован настолько профессионально, насколько это вообще можно себе представить в условиях, нас всех в настоящий момент окружающих. Я готов бесконечно благодарить этих хрупких, но мужественных девушек за трепет в их глазах, за искренность в их голосах, за небезразличие ко всем нам и за непревзойденный вкус, с которым они подходят к своему делу. Но больше всего я благодарю проект «Фортепианные мосты» за то, что он мотивировал меня на такое преодоление себя, какое я в начале этого пути и представить себе не мог. Последние полгода были полностью подчинены ежедневным многочасовым занятиям, не лишенным своих минут отчаяния, но ставшим в конечном итоге бесценной возможностью изменить себя к лучшему. И за это я аплодирую вам стоя! Также выражаю искреннюю благодарность замечательным членам жюри за возможность быть услышанным и оцененным. Для меня это первый опыт, и я с нетерпением жду их отзывы для того, чтобы продолжить работу над собой. Я очень счастлив стать членом семьи «Фортепианных мостов». С огромным удовольствием и волнением окунулась в атмосферу праздника, с особым трепетом ожидала встречи с каждым участником ,знакомым и незнакомым, делилась впечатлениями, болела за каждого и кого-то в особенности... Хочется отметить то особое настроение, с которым ВЫ создаете это Пространство для нас своим огромным трудом ,очень чувствуется Ваша любовь к проекту, к людям, к музыке! Спасибо всем членам жюри за высокий профессионализм и способность видеть лучшее к каждом! Искренне надеюсь на обстоятельный отзыв экспертов,чтобы продолжить свое развитие...

Because of the sanitary situation, many concerts and competitions are canceled. Thanks to PianoBridges, piano lovers were able to meet virtually and share their passion for music. The competition was really well organized, and I enjoyed following the competition online every day. Being able to get comments from the jury on one's own performance is also a great opportunity to continue improving oneself. The projects of PianoBridges are great, and I really hope we'll soon be able to meet around a real piano!

This time I have participated the piano bridges amateur piano competition for the first time. I have been interested in overseas amateur piano competition since 2011, so I participated some overseas amateur piano competition in Ill-de-France, Paris, Chicago between 2012~2014. I have been also interested in Piano Bridges piano competition since 2011, but it is difficult for me to prepare for travel to Russia, so I have not been able to challenge it for several years. In 2020, due to COVID-19, the world has been changed, and the condition of many piano competitions has also changed I think. I have been quite busy seriously as a worker of the Japanese government finance institution, which is a kind of Bank for small and medium enterprises in Japan because of COVID-19. So, this time , I am very lucky and happy that the 10th piano bridges amateur piano competition is held by ONLINE . While I have been in Japan, I can prepare for submitting my performance and trying to my best performance as much as possible. After I came to know the piano bridges amateur piano competition this time, I sent some e-mail to the competition committee, staffs gave me answers quickly and kindly told me many informations about the guidelines of competition. I am not so good at English, so staffs of the competition helped me a lot, thank you very much. Thanks for them, I participated in the competition with very relax feeling. After 2nd November, every day I enjoyed listening to many other candidates' performances. Though the competition is not held on stage in the concert hall, we could easily connect and listening to many candidates at the same time on the Internet. This fact is quite important and precious experience all over the world I think. Through the competition this year, I enjoyed many other candidates' performance and I made friends with some of them on Facebook, it is very enjoyable to communicate with other candidates like this. I do hope that COVID-19 is disappear as soon as possible, but if it were still appear after 2021, I would like to hope that this competition will be held on ONLINE again, and if so, I would like to challenge again! Thank you very much for competition committee staffs and congratulations that the 10th competition was held successfully! And I do hope this competition will continue for a long time! My experience of Piano Bridges amateur competition has been so impressive from the start to finish on every level. I was introduced to Nadezha Chestnova by Julien Kurtz from "Les amateurs". She was so friendly, welcoming and professional. I thought the great efforts made to make this event happen online rather than just cancel or postpone was most appreciated. We all needed things like this to work towards and keep our spirits and passions high during the pandemic. The final concert was stunning and the jury each spoke from their hearts and the decisions seemed so accurate, professional transparent and fair The best part is meeting wonderful people and making new friends A very big thanks you to you all

Congratulations to Piano Bridges for having managed such a successful online event, in spite of the very difficult conditions we are currently going through! Of course, let's hope competitions in person will be possible again soon :)

Прежде всего, спасибо оргкомитету и жюри за потрясающий конкурс. Фортепианные Мосты привлекает многих чрезвычайно талантливых любителей игры на фортепиано. Выступления участников производят огромное впечатление и вдохновляют на продолжение работы над собственной техникой и репертуаром. Хочу поблагодарить жюри за проницательную оценку каждой записи. Для меня, как любителя, очень ценно мнение экспертов из жюри, потому что у меня нет доступа к высококвалифицированным преподавателям, которые хотели бы меня выслушать. В этом году встретиться в Санкт-Петербурге было невозможно, но у меня была возможность научиться искусству записи своей игры. Это было единственное хорошее в Covid-19. Желаю принять участие в следующих выпусках конкурса и поближе познакомиться с прекрасным Санкт-Петербургом.

Выражаю большую благодарность уважаемым членам жюри и организаторам конкурса! Было очень интересно и радостно принять участие в конкурсе и приобщиться к «Фортепианным мостам», объединивших людей из разных стран во имя любви к музыке. Получила огромное удовольствие, слушая исполнения участников, открывая для себя новую музыку и интерпретации. Участие в этом конкурсе – уникальный опыт, помогающий расширить возможности для дальнейшего творчества, совершенствования восприятия музыки и ее исполнения. Организация конкурса онлайн была настолько приближена к живому концертному формату, что удалось ощутить волнение от ожидания новых выступлений, почувствовать творческую и дружелюбную атмосферу. Надеюсь поучаствовать в следующем конкурсе и других проектах «Фортепианных мостов».

First of all, I would really like to congratulate the organisers on an incredible achievement! This is a very challenging time, and it was very difficult situation for everyone involved, the contestants, organisers, jury, etc. The fact that this was done in an online format at all is a great achievement and this still gives us, as amateur pianists and lovers, the chance to show our talents with an audience even in this time. Music as a serious hobby is what keeps me going and is an integral part of my life. And more importantly recording ourselves, especially with a juried evaluation, can be very helpful. After all, we are always experimenting and trying to improve our playing whether it is our primary way of earning an income or not. We are always developing and improving our art of piano playing (which involves not just the physical, technical aspects of playing the notes on the score, but even developing one as a person through life and sometimes even the historical context of the work we are performing and how to convey that to an audience). In fact, this is an incredible opportunity for us and I was also happy to be fortunate to be one of the prizewinners as well. I also hope that there can be funds to keep on holding this event (and hopefully next time, live in St Petersburg) and that the memory of Natalia can live on through this. If I had only one comment, it would have been interesting to have the prize winners after they were announced to perform either in a live broadcast of a winners' concert and/or a final round of another 20 minutes of repertoire (similar to the sister competition PianoLink which I also participated in a few months prior). But I realise that is even a greater challenge, with the different time zones involved. That being said, hopefully the COVID situation will be stabilised next year and there can be back to holding a live event in St Petersburg.

В этом году мне впервые довелось принять участие в музыкальном конкурсе «Фортепианные мосты». Впечатления сложились самые радостные: я был приятно удивлён как высоким профессиональным уровнем, так и широкой географией конкурса, который объединил более 50 талантливых пианистов из самых разных стран нашей планеты. Конкурс «Фортепианные мосты» относится к категории любительских, однако, с моей точки зрения, термин «любитель» может быть применим к его участникам исключительно в буквальном своём значении, далеким по смыслу от слова «дилетант». Выбранные и исполненные конкурсантами программы не позволяют в этом сомневаться. Ещё одно несомненное достоинство конкурса – авторитетное и высокопрофессиональное жюри, членам которого хочется выразить отдельную благодарность за прекрасную работу. С интересом буду ожидать их отзывов о собственном исполнении. Искренне благодарю организаторов за безукоризненное (с административной и технической точки зрения) проведение конкурса – отнюдь не самое простое дело в нынешних условиях. И в заключение – мои поздравления лауреатам конкурса! Тем не менее, несмотря на дифференциацию премий, есть и общий победитель конкурса – сама Музыка, несущая свет, гармонию и красоту всем нам в этот непростой час. Искренне, Михаил Игнатьев

Спасибо организаторам за возможность принять участие в онлайн-конкурсе. Когда отменили конкурс летом 2020 года, то было непривычное ощущение пустоты, я скучала по Петербургу, атмосфере конкурса и людям. Но сейчас, готовясь к записи, я понимаю, что даже в таких тяжелых условиях "Фортепианные мосты" объединяют людей и дарят им радость. С нетерпением жду онлайн-конкурса и надеюсь на очную встречу следующим летом!

Это было просто потрясающая неделя! 😀 Организовано все изумительно — начиная поименным знанием участников со стороны организаторов и заканчивая возможностью полноправно заниматься все эти дни, попробовать большое количество инструментов. Все очень приветливые, открытые, можно завести множество очень интересных знакомств. Справедливые жюри, доброжелательна я публика, способная простить кучу ошибок, которые допускали многие (если не все) конкурсанты. Гостям, читающим эту страницу, могу сказать лишь одно: не бойтесь, а собирайтесь, готовьтесь и принимайте участие, и вы ни на секунду не пожалеете! Это станет огромным стимулом к развитию и замечательным приключением в вашей жизни! По возможности обязательно поеду в следующем году (как это и делают многие из участников :D)

Уважаемые организаторы конкурса! От всего сердца благодарю вас за такое мероприятие. Организовано все было изумительно, дисциплинировано, точно.
Очень интересно было познакомиться с такими же, как я, любителями музыки. Радостно было видеть во всех вдохновение и страсть к музыке. Но особенно хочу поблагодарить за мастер-класс Павла Алексеевича Ельяшевича. Вместо заявленных 2 часов Павел Алексеевич занимался с нами 3,5. И это было так интересно!.. Конечно, времени было немного, но П.А. сумел затронуть огромное количество тем и пробудить в нас самих большое количество новых вопросов и мыслей о музыке.
Одним словом, я очень рекомендую любителям музыки участвовать в данном проекте.
